Meetings

Our chapter holds general meetings every week or two, which allows us to bring everyone together to discuss important announcements regarding the club and participate in one main activity. We host guest speakers, vote for project leads, review resumes, and partner with other clubs to host meetings. Pizza as well as refreshments are served along with a raffle, for everyone in attendance, is held at the end of each meeting with the winner receiving a random prize.

Engineering EXPO Projects

These student lead projects are one of the main things our chapter focuses on throughout the year. Project Leads are elected in early fall semester and must work with their team to design a project for the KU Engineering Expo in the spring. All of the projects are beginner friendly and anyone from a freshman to a grad student can join a project group through our Discord. Project leads present biweekly progress reports at general meetings and information about when and where groups meet is also provided.

Conferences

Conferences are both an informational and fun experience for our chapter to participate in. At these conferences we attend informational lectures, learn about upcoming research in specific fields, and participate in competitions. Previously we attended the Greentech and IEEE Region 5 conferences but we are looking to travel to more in the future.
